MATOAKA SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Inclusion is proud to announce the return of the Matoaka Summer Concert Series held at the Lake Matoaka Amphitheater on the beautiful campus of William and Mary. Join us every other Friday evening through August 13th for great bands and a great time in a unique outdoor venue. EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC SCHOOL
July 26-30, 2010
Five-day summer session for infants through age 5. Morning or late afternoon classes available for ages 4-35 months (with parent) and ages 3-5 years (without parent). Age appropriate activities are offered in a balanced program of singing, movement, listening, and playing instruments. The Early Childhood Music School is located at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 500 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Cost is $35-$65 depending on age of child. GRANT AWARD CEREMONY – WILLIAMSBURG COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

CREATE YOUR OWN MONARCH WAYSTATION AT WILLIAMSBURG BOTANICAL GARDEN

10:00-11:00 am. Learn how to create your own monarch way station at the Williamsburg Botanical Garden in Freedom Park (intersection of Centerville and Longhill Roads). This Century Gallery invites you to 5 x 7 ~ ART ON THE QT, our annual fundraiser and art show, Sunday September 19, 2010, 5:30 to 8:00 at Williamsburg Community Building on North Boundary St. $35 per person includes hors d’oeuvres and 2 beverages. Additional beverages available at cash bar. Regional artists were invited to create and donate unique works of art measuring 5” x 7”. All pieces are priced at $100 and display anonymously. MASTER GARDENERS SYMPOSIUM ON HEALING THROUGH GARDENING

The Master Gardeners will present a one-day symposium, Healing thru Gardening, designed for professionals, allied professionals and community volunteers who work with persons with special needs. Workshops, presented by Diane Relf, Pamela Perkins and Master Gardeners on topics such as gardening activities for the memory impaired, developing horticulture skills for the workplace and wheelchair gardening will be featured. Cost: $20 (includes continental breakfast, box lunch and participant materials). CEU (.5) will be available upon completion. Pre-registration required by September 8th. At the Community Building in Williamsburg. Events begin at 9:00 and the Walk starts at 10:00. Plan for a scenic and leisurely 2 mile walk through Colonial Williamsburg! We CAN make a difference in the lives of Alzheimer’s victims and their families. We CAN make a difference in the awareness and support for Alzheimer’s disease research. We CAN make a difference by bringing hope to the millions of Americans who suffer with Alzheimer’s disease. We CAN make a difference to our community.
